1. PACK LIGHT
Learn to live with minimal baggage; re-use clothes and still enjoy your trip. If you travel lightly, you will be at liberty to shop to your heart's content and have enough space for it in your bag.
2. INTERNATIONAL PIN
Carrying a world-adaptive plug-in is very important. Though you might not want to be connected to the world, it is better to have your phone and camera charged at all times. You don't want to miss capturing those wonderful moments, do you?
If you are on an international trip, it is safe to have a copy of your existing passport with you. Carry a small bottle of water and sealed snacks, besides your wallet, camera and gadgets.

10. ON BOARD
To the best of your ability, be kind to your co-passengers. If in case you have complaints, be patient and understanding. The last thing you want is to get into fight on a holiday.
11. ALWAYS CARRY YOUR SWIMMING SUIT ALONG
You never know when you will get some time to swim next, but it is better to not miss an opportunity. Always keep a pair of trunks and goggles with you.
12. EAT AND DRINK LIGHT
Ensure that you eat and hydrate yourself only when you are hungry and thirsty, as you don't want to keep rushing to the restroom. Wasting food is a punishable offence in some countries, so watch out.
Ensure that you follow the local rules and regulations. Each country or state has its own laws, so make sure that you know what they are.
Check the political situation, weather, place of stay, reviews of the spots you plan visiting, etc., before you head out. Check for unique features of your destination so that you don't miss out on anything.
Carrying your gadgets and a list of songs is important. you will need this on a flight or during a road trip. Enjoy the songs, but don't miss out on the view outside.
Jot down points on the historical places you visit. This will refresh your memory when you come upon them later.
Engage in a little window shopping before you start buying products, since you may be able to find the same thing for a better rate elsewhere. Purchase a souvenir every place you visit.
